Gotta love 40-degree-plus temperatures. Went down to the beach yesterday arvo, will probably go down again this afternoon. Drove down and my car nearly overheated while trying to get down there. Speaking of my car, it’s giving me teh shits as of late. The right-side speaker has popped so whenever there is a hint of bass, it starts crackling. Which is REALLY good news when you play a lot of Pendulum or Nine Inch Nails on your radio :(. One of the wheels on the right also has a stuffed brake pad so that squeeks for a little while before the car warms. AND a lot of smoke is billowing out of the exhaust when I start the car, which says that the oil rings are going out.

All in all, around about $3000+ worth of repairs to do. That’s twice the amount I paid for the bloody thing. Lesson here kids is: Don’t buy a bloody car.

Right, now to something a bit more light-hearted, for the 3 or so people who actually view my blog, here’s a preview of the new Gamestah site:

If you see the current site, you should see that the new site is much of an improvement. If you want to leave any comments about it, feel free, although I will probably be told off for this because its meant to be secret.

Gamestah was mentioned on ABC2’s new gaming show, Good Game, last night. Ej and Bob got to do a shoutcast of a huge match between the hosts and Australia’s best Counter-strike: Source team. Needless to say, it was a laugh and a half. Word is we get a full interview later in the series as well.

Gotta love the hoops you have to jump through when you work in government schemes. For those of you not in the know, I work as an office clerk in Perth at a respectable health company (website design is my hobby for the moment). I was signed up under CDEP, a government scheme to basically ‘work for the dole’. I didn’t care much about the money at the time, I just needed a cash flow to keep up with all my spending on various things (mostly booze :P). Now it appears that I have to sign up to a Job Seeker Network. Basically, they want me to look for a job while I am currently in one. I tell you… if the Australian government had a brain, Australia’s economy might actually go up.

I’ve been driving heaps as of late. 29th September is the day of reckoning. My driving exam. I’ll be doing it in my car, looking forward to it but at the same time, worried because the test will more than likely take place in the city, where everything is so hectic. Well, I guess if I pass, I’ve passed under the worst conditions and should be proud…

Gamestah.com is down. Has been for nearly 2 days. We may be contracted to Ausgamers, but I’m sure there is something in there about Ausgamers having to provide a decent service.
